Introduction
Hi, Gabriel Pradīpaka --wrongly-written Pradipaka-- once again. This is simply the commentary that the very author of Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam --wrongly-written Pratyabhijnahrdayam-- (i.e. Kṣemarāja --wrongly-written Kshemaraja or Ksemaraja--) composed for that scripture. Therefore, my introduction to Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam is mostly valid here too. This book is very simple in comparison to the main scripture dealing with Pratyabhijñā (Self-recognition), i.e. the celebrated Utpaladeva's Īśvarapratyabhijñā, which demands a powerful intellect to understand its intricacies. But that is not saying that this commentary on Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam will not be without its inherent difficulties. No, it will be difficult at times as it is usual with Trika scriptures, but compared to the aforesaid treatise (and to other similar treatises), it is quite simple. It is like a practical handbook leading an aspirant to Final Liberation quickly. If you want to recognize your own divinity in a way that is so easy as possible, this handbook is for you. I am not joking. Once you read it, you cannot miss the target any more as far as Self-recognition (a.k.a. Final Liberation) is concerned. Let us get down to work now!
